چکیده
Remote Sensing & GIS technique was used for extracting geomorphological characteristics of watersheds. Its application provides an efficient and accurate means evaluation these characteristics. Drainage system delineation is important to better understand hydrologic system, water resource management its planning. Morphometric analysis any drainage basin in a systematic method has great importance understanding hydrological behavior the basin. parameters describe topology, structure, platform relief area. are commonly planning regional models. Physical watershed some pre-information mainly runoff, stages development soil loss productivity viz; Stream order, length, Bifurcation ratio, density, frequency, texture, Form factor, Circularity Elongation ratio Compactness etc. were measured prioritization compound parameter values calculated finally seven sub watersheds marked. relevant useful identify various Watershed. Patterns, shape, stage stream, as well help correlate with lithological sensing techniques have proved be tool their updation. order show Watershed 5th dendritic pattern homogeneous nature area parallel pattern. The average Value study 2.98, usually common areas where geologic structures do not exercise dominant influence on density 1.75indicating moderate densities. Moderate indicates permeable. It also shows Texture Moderate.

متن کاملMorphometric Analysis of River Catchments Using Remote Sensing and GIS (A Case Study of the Sukri River, Rajasthan)
Remote Sensing techniques with GIS were used to study the two sub-catchments of the upper catchment of Sukri River, Luni River basin. The measurement and analysis for the two sub-catchments were carried by using GIS for linear, areal and relief aspects. Both sub-catchments have low permeability, high surface run-off, and control of geologic structure. The morphometic analysis and measurements a...
متن کاملGIS and Remote Sensing Applications for Watershed Planning in the Maumee River Basin, Ohio
The Maumee River watershed is the largest drainage basin that discharges into the Great Lakes. Although the watershed is largely a rural landscape, several major urban-industrial cities, including Fort Wayne and Toledo are located along the river. Many water quality concerns are present, especially nonpoint rural runoff that contributes significant amounts of sediment into the Maumee River. The...

Kabani river is a 7 order stream with a basin area of 1647 km. There are 4 sixth order and11 fifth order sub-basins. This analysis is mainly confined to 11 fifth order sub basins. Morphometric indices like stream ordering, bifurcation ratio, stream length, drainage density, stream frequency, form factor, elongation ratio, circularity ratio, constant of channel maintenance, asymmetry factor, sin...
